We live in a world where modern medicine has become the go-to solution for healing in our lives.
Whether it’s your mind, body, spirit, or all of you that desires healing, our world increasingly wants us to believe that pills, potions and other quick fixes can make you well.
The problem is that while those things might mask your pain in the moment they never lead to total healing. They never help you find lasting happiness.
What if what you really need, and what your mind, body, and spirit really wants, is healing rooted in ancient wisdom, loving self-care, and the pure unprocessed healing power of food?
Seventeen years ago, I discovered exactly that.
At 26 years old, married, and with my first son who was just a year old; I found myself at the edge of reason.
It started when I was 16. I felt inexplicable sadness in every inch of my being. All I could do was cry endlessly, and as an affluent young Indian girl with everything she could possibly want, I found little understanding, comfort, or healing in my life in Goa India.
When I married and moved to Canada everything escalated. I didn’t want to live anymore. I was exhausted, under-weight, and found keeping up with life pure misery.
And then, I became pregnant. Somewhere deep inside I hoped my pregnancy would save me. I hoped it would be the most joyous time of my life, but it turned out to be a foggy memory.
Then, one night it happened. My heart raced uncontrollably, I was consumed with fear and despair. I was dizzy, trembling, and short of breath.
I had experienced my first panic attack.
In a way I was relieved to be clinically diagnosed with anxiety and depression. At least now I could take medication and get back to normal – so I thought.
While my meds help me smile on occasion, and eat more often, they sucked every other aspect of life out of me. I was missing out on my experience as a wife, a mother, and a fully alive individual.
I knew there had to be a better way.
I started researching everything I could get my hands on about anxiety, hormones, genetics, and medications, but my best answers came when I turned to my roots.
My upbringing was deeply influenced by the Ayurveda lifestyle, and in that ancient wisdom, I found all the answers I needed.
The first time I collided with the true healing power of food was when I stopped eating white sugar and drinking a lot more water. I also added more whole foods.
Even though I’ve been a vegetarian since I was 10 years old, I had zero balance in my diet. So, with a newer consciousness I started to incorporate more lentils, better quality of vegetables, organic whenever possible, and gave spices a lot more respect.
As my energy levels started to go up I started exercising a bit more, and as I started affirming that I was healthier, the universe sent more and more new tools my way.
I met people that were supportive of my transformation and introduced me to meditations, inspiring speakers, healing music and just offered me that comfort and encouragement.
I stumbled across books like “You can heal your life” by Louise hay, Silva mind control, and inspiring teachers like Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra. It’s magical how when you set the intention how things begin to align and that’s exactly how it panned out for me.
This is one thing I help my clients now.
I had an absolute conformation and I knew the healing of my body, mind, and spirit I so deeply craved was rooted in the natural medicine of antiquity.
Within one year I freed myself from all medication.
Using Mother Nature’s gifts like food, spices, and oils, as well as physical activity and spirituality, I discovered a truly holistic approach to healing and lasting happiness.

Life is completely different for me now.
Today, my sons are 17 and 11. We homeschooled for 15 years and enjoyed every single moment of every single day.

And now, as a certified Holistic Health Coach from Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, a certified Massage Therapist, an Advanced Food Healing instructor by Jeff Primack, and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, I’m here to help others shift into healing holistically.
Helping others this way has become my greatest passion and my greatest joy.
While a lot of this can seem overwhelming or even mysterious my hope is that you would understand that big changes (like the ones I’ve experienced) do not require big leaps — they just require bite-sized adaptations.
My intention is to show you just how “bite-sized” those adaptations are.
